DSG Home Inspections is a privately owned company established to provide the Orillia area with professional, customer oriented building inspection and consulting services. Each of our inspectors have experience inspecting commercial properties of all sizes. DSG works frequently with the provincial government, various insurance companies and a number of charitable organizations. DSG enjoys the pleasure of having inspected the oldest residential home in Toronto.

Experience & Qualifications
John Harris and Peter Moody bring over 50 years of construction and renovation experience in Industrial and Institutional environments, as well as Residential and Recreational. They combine a practical, hands-on approach with a fundamental understanding of the theory of building science. At DSG continuing education and upgrading is a way of life!
John Harris, Principal & Founder
John has performed more than 400 pre-purchase inspections, over 500 energy audits, 50+ R-2000 certifications, 100+ New Home Energy Audits (EnerGuide and ENERGY STAR), numerous litigation reports and hundreds of other building science consultations. His prime focus right now is on training evaluators for various government energy efficiency programs. He has developed an Energy Efficiency for the Trades course related to new building code requirements for the OBOA and MMAH.

Peter Moody, Partner
Peter has performed more than 300 pre-purchase inspections, including commercial properties, over 200 WETT inspections and Septic inspections. He has executed numerous other building science consultations, including Ontario New Home Warranty inspections and inspections for insurance companies. Peter has over 30 years experience in all aspects of home renovation. He established Wyecroft Property Inspections in 2005; merged with DSG in 2008.
